Update Information for December 31, 2011 (V 2.24)

Information was added to the “Home” page and an icon was added to the menu bar for Rare Disease Day, which is to be observed on February 29, 2012.  The ECD Global Alliance is a proud partner of the National Organization of Rare Disorders (NORD) in observing this day.

Information about the ECD research grant, to be awarded on April 15, 2012, was updated on the “Home” page and the “Grants” page.

The Board of Directors member list, as found on the “ECD Global Alliance” page, was updated.

A short write up about our new staff member, David Ochoa, Director of Development, was added to the “ECD Global Alliance” page.

Information and registration form for a scheduled fun run on March 24, 2012, in DeRidder, Louisiana, was added to the “How Can I Help?” page.

The Case Locations as found on the “Patient-to-Patient” and “ECD Global Alliance” pages, was updated.

Chat summaries were added to the “Chat Room” page.

New entries were made to the “Abstracts of Published Papers” as listed under the “Technical Papers” selection for recently published papers. The additions are as follows:

1. An article published in the Current Opinion of Rheumatology.  The article is entitled, “Langerhans cell histiocytosis and Erdheim-Chester disease” and includes an abstract.
2. An article published in the Journal of American College of Cardiology.  The article is entitled, “Interferon-alpha in cardiac erdheim-chester disease” and is without an abstract.
