Update Information for December 31, 2010 (V 2.12)

Information about a new Phenotype Study being done by Augusto Vaglio, MD in Parma, Italy was added to the “ECD Studies” page.

The “Grants” page was updated to announce that the ECD Global Alliance has awarded a $50,000 research grant to Dr. Lorenzo Dagna in Milan, Italy.  The aim of the study will be to investigate mechanisms leading to ECD histiocyte activation and accumulation, in order to identify new molecular targets suitable for future therapeutic interventions .

A new article by Simon about Balance Issues was placed on the “Resources” page.

An update was provided to the ECD Brochures as found on the “Resources” page.

An update was provided to the ECD Business Cards as found on the “Resources” page.

The “Home“, “How Can I Help?” pages were updated to show the new address of the ECD Global Alliance which is:

The ECD Brochures, ECD Business Cards and Flyer, as found on the “Resources” page, were also updated with the new address.

The “How Can I Help?” page was updated with information about ECD Global Alliance furndraisers that have taken place and are being planned.

The Case Log and Case Locations, as found on the “Patient-to-Patient” page, were updated.

An entry was made to the “Abstracts of Published Papers” as listed under the “Technical Papers” selection to add a recently published paper. The additions is as follows:
1.  An article published in the Rheumatol Int .  The article is entitled, “FDG-PET in the Erdheim-Chester disease: its diagnostic and follow-up role. ” and includes an abstract.

The Useful Adjuncts to Treatments article as found on the “Resources” page was updated to show a current email and website address.

Chat summaries were added to the “Chat Room” page.

The “Technical Papers | Published Papers” page was updated to correct some formatting issues.

Updates were made to the links on the “What is ECD?” page.
