You are likely already a member of the ECD Global Alliance and we hope that you have been able to find help and comfort in the resources that we have available to our members. It is our amazing team of volunteers, donors, medical professionals, and staff who make it all possible.
This week the ECDGA would like to highlight one particular staff member who is truly dedicated to ECD Global Alliance and its mission.
Jessica Corkran, the Executive Director, manages the day-to-day activities of the organization and puts her heart into it all. On the organization’s website you can find a short biography stating, “Jessica holds a Bachelor of Science in Management and Marketing. She joined ECDGA in 2014 with an extensive background in management and finance. She is devoted to bettering the lives of those affected by ECD. When Jessica is not active with the ECDGA, she and her husband love spending time with their two wonderful children.” However, this modest biography only provides a brief highlight of Jessi’s accomplishments and dedication. The extent of her compassion is seen only from behind the scenes.
Most, if not all those associated with the ECDGA have been contacted by Jessi. Some may only have met her through email communication, while others have had the opportunity to meet her in person. Her infectious smile and caring personality leaves a lasting imprint with those who have met her.
What is not always seen with these interactions, or read in her modest biography, is the love and passion that she has for each and every member of the organization. Jessi has spent her time with the ECDGA ensuring that its mission statement is fulfilled and members feel cared for. From the annual events to local fundraisers, Jessi’s passion and enthusiasm is evident.
What started in 2014 as a steppingstone to further her career has turned into a commitment to help the ECD family find answers and know they are not alone.
Today, lets thank Jessi and her family for all of the hard work, dedication, and compassion continually put forth for the community!
A word of thanks:
