Mark Heaney Award for Awareness

Named in honor of the late Dr. Mark Heaney, a pioneering hematologist whose contributions to ECD research and awareness were instrumental in advancing the field, this award recognizes a medical professional who has gone above and beyond to raise awareness of Erdheim-Chester Disease within the medical community.

Eligible nominees include:

• Medical professionals from any specialty
• Researchers contributing to ECD advancements and clinical trials
• Healthcare professionals working to improve diagnosis and treatment

Community Champion Award for Volunteer Activity

This award honors an outstanding member of the ECDGA community—whether a patient, caregiver, medical professional, friend, or advocate—who has made a remarkable impact through volunteer efforts, fundraising, awareness campaigns, or patient support.

Ideal nominees may have:

• Led fundraising initiatives to support ECD research and advocacy
• Organized awareness campaigns to educate the public and medical community
• Provided ongoing support to ECD patients and families
