Erdheim-Chester Disease Research Grants

Overview
The ECD Global Alliance funds research dedicated to learning more about Erdheim Chester Disease. In addition, the organization works with research teams and patients to facilitate communication between the two groups. The organization is interested in exploring the diagnosis, cause, treatments, and cure of Erdheim-Chester Disease.

Current Grant Opportunity
The ECD Global Alliance is now soliciting Letters of Intent for funding of research projects focused on the study of Erdheim-Chester Disease. Request for Letter of Intent – Printable

Maximum Amount to be Awarded:  Up to $50,000 USD
Duration of Grant:  1 Year
LOI Deadline:  May 15, 2017
Eligibility Requirements:  Open to all qualified researchers (international proposals welcomed)

All basic science and clinical research proposals will be considered and all qualified and interested investigators are encouraged to submit. As appropriate, submitted studies should consider inclusion of the following:

  • Collaboration among investigators from different institutions
  • Translation of findings into the clinical setting

The ECD Global Alliance is interested in receiving LOIs for any study that can lead to an increase of knowledge related to the etiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis or treatment of Erdheim-Chester Disease.

Grant Applications
Submitted Letters of Intent will be reviewed and the investigators for those projects that hold the most promise for making significant and lasting advances in the knowledge and treatment of ECD will be invited to submit a complete proposal. Submitted proposals must follow certain guidelines and will be reviewed according to a set of requirements that can be found in the Grant Application Process. The organization reserves the right to modify these guidelines, as it deems appropriate. However, the guidelines are provided here to help researchers in their planning. There are no plans in the near future to make any major modifications to these requirements.
