Masters in Engineering (1983), B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (1981). Kathy worked in the aerospace industry for 15 years, where she spent 10 years as an engineering software development manager. Since 1998 she has been involved in non-profit work and various contract work, and is currently a partner in a management consulting firm. She lost her beloved husband, F. Gary Brewer, to Erdheim-Chester Disease in 2007. He remained undiagnosed throughout his life, with the diagnosis of ECD occurring as the result of an autopsy.

Graduated Hunter College (1974) with B.A. in History; in addition to several non-profit related certificate courses, received an Institute of Non-Profit Management Certificate from Columbia University Graduate School of Business (2010). Career path started with various positions in retail, banking, and education intertwined with motherhood and volunteerism finally culminated in working within the non-profit sector. Jean served nearly two decades with the National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD) 10 of those years as Vice President of Development. Well versed in patient advocacy, non-profit governance, development and corporate relations, Jean started JF Campbell Consultants LLC in 2010 servicing the for-profit and non-profit sectors representing the rare disease community.Jean has two daughters and two granddaughters who live close enough to enjoy and spoil. Jean’s husband, Tom, passed away in 2000 from malignant melanoma after five years of seeking viable treatments when options were limited to interferon, experimental vaccines or doing nothing. “Doing nothing” was and never is an option. Jean joined the ECDGA BOD in January 2015.

Graduated from Oklahoma State University, 1960. Pam learned to fly and became a flight instructor in 1967. She worked with her husband in a small business for over 30 years that grew to employ more than 300 employees. Her duties included office management, finances and computer programming. She is presently partly retired, with oversight over operations. Pam has three children. She was diagnosed with ECD in 2003.
Rachel Mitchell, Treasurer

Masters in Business Administration with focus in Healthcare Management (2004), B.S. in Accounting, minor in music (1997). Ms. Rachel Mitchell is currently employed by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) as the Chief Financial Officer for the VA Capitol Healthcare Network located in the DC/ Baltimore area. She has worked at various medical centers throughout the country over her past 13 years of service with VA including Des Moines, IA, Pittsburgh, PA, and Mountain Home, TN. In her free time, Ms. Mitchell enjoys crafting, spending time with family and friends, traveling and spoiling her nieces. Rachel lost her sister-in-law to ECD in 2010.
Glenn Padnick Glenn Padnick is a retired television executive. He was a co-founder of Castle Rock Entertainment, where he helped develop and produce the TV series Seinfeld. Before that, he was president of Embassy Television, where he helped develop and produce, among others, Who’s the Boss, 227 and Married…With Children. He is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School. He is married to Dr. Eleanor Padnick, a dentist. They have three children. He was diagnosed with Erdheim-Chester Disease in 2001.

Dr. Estrada-Veras interests are the diagnosis and treatment of inborn errors of metabolism in children as well as other genetic disorders. Current research interest include inborn errors of metabolism and non-Langerhans cell histiocytic disorders especially Erdheim-Chester disease. Dr. Estrada-Veras is a collaborator with the NIH study, “Clinical and Basic Investigation into Erdheim-Chester Disease” and “Dabrafenib and Trametinib Trial for Treating Patients With Erdheim-Chester Disease and BRAF Mutation.”
